I LOVE to be busy!

 

Having worked in the creative field now for over 11 years starting out in photography with my dad's old wedding camera at the age of 13, up to mid twenties finishing with a first class degree at Staffs Uni in Media Film Production up to now, working as a Video Producer at the age of 25 I'd say is a pretty good career path!

 

Finishing University during the Covid pandemic in 2020 forced me to take on many challenges and face up to the real world of work in a much difficult way but it gave me the spark to jump straight into the deep end and surprisingly didn't struggle!

 

 Having previously studied Media at school in GSCE and further studies in Creative Media Production at college  so far I have loved every minute of both studying and working in the sector. I've worked both freelance and full-time for companies front of house Filming and Content Creating to back of house Digital Editing and Social Media Managing.

I specialise in managerial roles mostly having been a Production Coordinator and Assistant Director on film sets working freelance and an Assistant Producer and Media Manager in company roles. Having owned a Sony A7 Mark 2 and Rode mic kit for those small jobs, I'm adaptable and ready to go!

​

Overall, I have worked on over 200 small projects including corporate adverts, events, shorts, experimental pieces, music videos and documentaries. Having filmed, produced, directed and edited 5 documentaries of my own, it has been a HUGE success- one of which was nominated in the RTS Awards in Birmingham and won a film festival while 3 more became finalists!

I love to work alongside large production teams learning new skills from them whilst advancing my own working freelance.

I have voluntarily produced and filmed short documentaries for a client in my spare time for YHA (Youth Hostel Association) exploring young children who struggle with life at home to give them an opportunity to have fun and mix with others from a similar background. This consisted of  a 3 day camping trip, directing, filming, producing and editing promos, taking care of the project from start to finish.

Leading on from that experience, I have further created promos for BBS (British Blind Sport) creating content to help promote awareness of children with sight loss in sport.

The creative industry both Film and TV plays a big part in my life and I desire to continue working hard until I get to my goal.
