I had my first lecture today about photography, the handbook was very helpful to have rule of thirds guided out in there, to remind me to use it when taking photos. As a class we had a task to go out and take some photos of objects- seeing what we could capture different to everyone else. This developed my skills to be independent and go off by myself, use my creativity to take some good pictures. I discovered that you can do a lot with a mobile phone camera and the shots I took were aesthetically pleasing using colour, lines, shapes and the rule of thirds to enhance an image. I also learnt its not about the technical side of things its about being creative and thinking about whats in shot.
Personally, I found myself taking photos of lines as it appears in most photos there is a theme.
